Our Story and Mission
Founded by veterans,
Welcome to MILITARY CRAFTMANSHIP CIO registered charity 1212512 we are a community-driven organization created by veterans for veterans. Our mission is to provide support, empowerment, and a sense of purpose to those who have served in HM Forces and are looking for ways to improve their mental health and overall well-being.
Leaving the military can be a challenging and often overwhelming transition. Many veterans struggle with mental health issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. At Military Craftmanship CIO, we understand these challenges and believe in the healing power of woodworking and craftsmanship.
Woodworking is not just a hobby; it is a therapeutic activity that can help veterans find solace, regain their confidence, and develop new skills. Through our workshops and programs, we provide a safe and supportive environment where veterans can learn woodworking techniques, create beautiful handmade items, and connect with fellow veterans who share similar experiences.
Our team of experienced woodworkers, many of whom are veterans themselves, are passionate about helping their comrades find purpose and meaning after leaving the military. We offer a range of woodworking courses, from beginner to advanced levels, where veterans can learn everything from basic carpentry to intricate wood carving.
By engaging in woodworking projects, veterans not only gain practical skills but also experience a sense of accomplishment and pride in their creations. Whether it’s crafting a unique piece of furniture or carving intricate designs, the process of working with wood can be incredibly rewarding and therapeutic.
